State Government Considering Penalties under Akrama-Sakrama Scheme

State government is planning for penalties under Akrama-Sakrama scheme. Bangalore district in-charge minister R Ashoka told the reported decision is discussion stage and a meeting with BBMP and BDA official is needed before final decision. He also said, implementation of scheme is not related to BBMP polls. The government constituted a cabinet sub-committee headed by minister Ashoka to chalk out a scheme for regularization of property.

The penalties would be imposed on

  1. Violation of Floor Area Ratio (FAR),
  2. Buildings on civics amenity sites and
  3. Bye-law or plan violation

    I think the government is in mood of making its corrupt practice as the scheme will benefit the LAW-VIOLATORS and harm the LAW-ABIDES. as the violation cases are pending in-front of various courts and Corporations will be affected by such scheme. And further if such schemes are there then why don’t Government scrap the various Town and country planing Acts including KARNATAKA MUNCIPAL CORPORATION ACT 1974 etc.Doesn’t it a some kind of joke that at one side Govt is owing to implementing the Law of land and other side passing the contrary Laws.
    God knows the logic behind such corrupt schemes and if not the Government at list.
